This project is sponsored by the Pointe South Community. The Elon Farms Association will initially manage the collection of funds and Project Management details. Note: this may change if other subdivisions choose to take a more active role in various phases of the plan.
Problem: the fence at the end on Elon Trail in the Elon Farm subdivision has been damaged by fire and vandalism. Currently there is a 8 foot gap caused by fire damage and and fence boards being pulled down. It is being used as a passage way for criminals from the apartment complex and other residences behind the fence. Several attempts have been made to repair the wooden portion of the fence. However, after each repair attempt, the fence was torn down again. This has been a constant source of crime, litter and also a danger to smaller kids who are also using this as a shortcut.
Proposed Solution: the 50 foot section of wooden fence is joined by chain link fences on the left and right sides. The wooden fence needs to be replaced with a more permanent structure such as the chain link fences on either side. We need to find a way to get funding and authorization to accomplish this.
